Intel. What a bunch of idiots.
Apparently a non-profit yoga group calling itself Yoga Inside is diluting Intel’s “Intel Inside” trademark, so Intel are threatening to take them to court.
You want my advice?. Fuck Intel, buy AMD processors.
This entry is brought to you via the wonderful world of broadband internet.
Installation went very smoothly. Everything was up and running by midday. So far I’m very impressed.
Consequently didn’t get any real riding done except a trip to the LBS and back.
It was almost spring-like today. So I spent all morning lazing in bed, then went out on the Stiffee for a few hours. Bliss.
Tomorrow is designated A-Day. Yes, ADSL is due to be installed tomorrow. With 8-times the available download speed, the world will be my oyster. Or at least slightly faster than the lethargic slug it resembles at the moment.
Some nice weather for a change today, so went for a 10 mile or so walk. Stopping briefly (well for 3.5 hours) for sunday lunch with my parents.
It that time of year again. Boring self indulgent speaches are the name of the game tonight. Yes, it’s the Oscars. At least Gwyneth Paltrow can’t bore us all to death this year (I hope).
I’ve finally decided to join the broadband revolution, and have ordered ADSL. I suspect it will get turned down because of the problems I had with getting ISDN. Fallback option is cable internet from Blueyonder.
It’s raining again today for what seems like the 100th day in a row. It’s starting to get a bit annoying. I just want to get out and ride in some decent dry weather dammit. I didn’t get to ride at the weekend due to other commitments, but have got next week off work. I bet it will piss down every sodding day I am off.
On another note, I bought my self a new Nokia 8310 mobile phone, nice and small but if anything a bit too small. Or maybe I’m just to big for it.
Visited The Outdoors Show today (er, technically it was yesterday). Fairly good day out, drank some nice pints of Ruddles, spent a bit of money, had a good look around. Could have done with a few more gadgets to look at/play with.
Doing more Scouty stuff tomorrow, then probably drinking lots of Guinness :-)
Illness seems to have cleared up now.
Still having fun with mailservers at work, but nearing the end now.
Friday is a day off work to visit The Outdoors Show 2002 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Tried to go out for a training ride this morning. Evil head wind made things tricky, and a horrendous headache caused me to turn back after 6 miles. Not a good ride at all.
Slightly less broken mailservers.
Lack of sleep.
Hangover from hell.
Rich is still not a happy boy.
