Went for a lunchtime ride on the Inbred complete with new rigid forks. Am I some sort of masochist riding a fully rigid singlespeed? Anyway, apart from the evil climbs for the first mile or so which I inevitably end up walking, it was a damn fine ride. I’d forgotten how much fun it is riding a fully rigid bike. The front end is so much more precise, and rather than barging straight down a path letting the forks take a battering, you actually have to pick a line to ride. We rode about 10 miles or so, and on the way back, rode a bit of new (to me) singletrack which is decidedly unofficial, quite short, but pretty good fun.
