happy christmas

Apparently it’s christmas. Doesn’t really feel like it, although thats probably a side-effect of getting older.

i wonder if it’s exciting again when you have kids?

    Actually, it is.

The moment when Jess walked into the living room yesterday and spotted the trike, looked at me, looked at jen, the trike again, me again the trike again, then walked over the room to get it was seriously cool.

This is a child who is only 17 months old, approx, and doesn’t quite “get” xmas yet.

    Next year will be insane.

Now it was much the same at our place! When Rich came for breakfast and saw Ethan’s trike we had a hell of a time getting it away from him in time for Ethan to arrive. And then Rich spent all day playing with Ethan’s farm and animals! When Ethan took them all home it took several ‘bottles’ to console the little chap. (Rich that is!)

    Somehow I am not surprised.

When he crashed at our place last September, I’m sure he had been playing in the inflatable car with the soft balls inside when no-one was looking.

It was probably a mistake letting him sleep in baby’s room. (She was in the travel cot in our room, before anyone asks!)
