Perfect timing

I’ve just managed to rip most of the nail off of my left big toe, and taken a large chunk of flesh out of the end at the same time. Currently everything is held together with a plaster in the hope that it won’t all fall apart over night. I don’t think it’s broken, but it’s swelling up nicely and is very painful. Should make SitS nice and interesting.

bathe it in a bowl of warm salty water to prevent infection. try to keep it covered for the first week, changing the dressing every day. when at home you can leave it unwrapped to it can dry up.

visit a doc if it’s still painful in a week. and make sure it doesn’t ingrow when it comes back, i’ve had them and they hurt a LOT.
