The other side of summer

Fantastic weather today, it’s a late resurgence of the summer than never was.

Went for a spin on the cross bike this morning with Ian, a nice gentle 27 miles with tea and cakes at the Angel Fish cafe, which had been overrun by Mouton owners, including Dr Alex himself. Subsequent checking reveals that it was the 2004 Bradford on Avon weekend, celebrating 30 years since Raleigh stopped making Moulton bicycles.

The afternoon was spent lazing in the garden reading books and listening to mp3s. The original Zen packed up on Saturday morning and was replaced with no problems.

My new Giro Xen helmet finally arrived yesterday. Quite impressive on a short ride, the venting seems more effective at low speed than my usual Giro E2.
