Ice Cold Ice

It’s damn cold out there tonight. Went out on the cross bike with Ian and did a shade under 16 miles through the lanes and back along the canal. Lost all feeling in the big toe on each foot, they are now quite painful as they slowly reheat. I could really have done with more clothes as I was still cold despite wearing thermal 3/4 length bib shorts, a merino base layer, a thin lycra top, and a windstopper jacket, along with the usual addition of hat and windstopper gloves. The patchy fog made the ride back along the canal quite interesting as every so often visibility dropped to almost nothing.

Due to various commitments, that might end up being my last proper ride this side of New Year.

Cabernet Shiraz is good for cold toes.

Good to see you’re getting the excuses for poor performance up in Scotland in early Rich ;^)
