Maiden Voyage

Took the Kaboom for a spin round Unibike. This was the first time out locally on a mtb for over 6 months so came as a bit of a shock to the system. Overall I’m impressed with the bike, it’s a bit shorter than the Inbred, and needed a few tweaks during and after the ride to sort a few niggles out.

I found that when I got it. Took a few rides and compoonent changes to get it just right.

It’s nice though, just redundant as far as I am concerned.

I have seen the ‘Kaboom’ and it looks just like……
a bike! I think he rode it up and tweaked my router. It was also seemingly lacking a working rear brake, one of the tweaks perhaps.
Oh, and Father is now on-line on Broadband. No MS Office, no printers, no Flight Sim, just an already semi-b…… Windows installlation. Automatic updates.. sod ’em!

What have you broken with it this time?

Ooh, that looks nice. Must resurrect mine, or is there some unwritten rule about the number of SS-L kabooms that can be operational at any one time?

MY KABOOM will probably have a mish mash of old knackered parts on it for a while.. but I do need a new front brake.

How are those forks on it, are they at 105 still?

  6. rjw says:

They are at 80mm these days.

I’m going to skip the front brake and stick V’s on the Inbred for the moment.

I think paces are going on mine.
which means a small front rotor or the forks will pull apart!!
