More Predictability

In a re-run of the bank holiday at the beginning of the month, I headed out to Chew Valley Lake with Ian for tea and cake. The only difference was that we didn’t manage to outrun the rain this time and I did the last 6 miles or so in torrential rain and hail. The annoying thing is that by the time I’d wiped the bike down and had a quick shower the sun was back again.

The new pedals and shoes were a success. A bit of discomfort for the first few miles, then everything settled into place and they felt fine.

You got rain today? Ler-huuuoouuuooo-zerrr ;-)

  2. rjw says:

Only for about 45 minutes or so, most of which were when I was on the bike :(

Apparently no-one else had rain yesterday, it was just me. I’m a real-life Rob McKenna, only without the lorry.

Hey, think yourself lucky. At least you’re not Paul McKenna ;-)

Anyway, even if I didn’t get rain, I have a bruised shoulder, a nice up my arm *and* I lost one of my fork’s preload adjusters. Must remember to (a) go around the trees and (b) not veer off the edge of the track at speed and fly head first into the rock garden…

I lost the word “graze” there somewhere.

Sounds ace, Olly, I is going to get more risky soon.. might even pedal downhill sometime soon :)

You don’t necessarily need to pedal – just get off the brakes :)
