Proper Cheek

No Right of Way

Took the Craftworks out for a proper spin tonight, the last time I rode it properly was at Glentress over New Year. It’s a bit of a shock to the system to ride a 40+ lbs bike with 6" of travel at each end after spending the last few months on 20lbs road bikes. I did the semi-usual route round the Uni, with the added excitment of a stand-off with a large dog in the depths of the woods.

The worst part was catching my two week old wool jersey on a tree and putting a large hole in one arm :(

The day was partly saved thanks to the interweb providing me with a copy of Achtung Bono by Half Man Half Biscuit before the copy I’ve paid for has arrived. I’ll probably spend the rest of the evening listening to it on repeat.

Does the new interest in the Craftworks mean that you might be putting in an appearance North of the Border soon?

I am not sure I’d want to go down a path that leads to masterbating shephards.

But fear not, SuperGran has the darning needle out! I will keep you updated.

  5. rjw says:

It’s been subcontracted out to SuperGran then?

  6. Father says:

And she’s done the job. Will be delivered soonest. Hardly notices. And the blood has all dried up now.

  7. rjw says:

I can ride out and pick it up sometime this weekend weather and decking permitting.

  8. Father says:

The spirit of Alan Titchmarsh lives!

  9. Steve says:

I didn’t know Alan Titchmarsh had passed away!

  10. rjw says:

Why do you think we’re building the decking?

We’ve got to hide the body somewhere.

  11. Alex says:

I thought you’d put the body under the cellar floor? You haven’t knocked off another neighbour have you?
