Back in Black

The Lemond is now wearing it’s winter boots again, plain black Rubinos instead of green/black Open Paves. The bike looks much nicer now, looks like I’ll have to get some nice all-black tyres for next summer. It’ll probably be retired completely for the winter soon in favour of the crosser, it’s too nice to ride in wet wintery conditions.

I’ve found that Vittoria tyres seem to cut quite easily. Might try some Conti GP4000s next year.

You do that then, I have found them ok.
    GP4000 look interesting though.

I had to glue a massive cut in the rear tyre when I got home today, already glued the front one a couple of times.

Never had a problem with the Mondos on the Langster, or the old cheap Kendas which used to be on the Schwinn.

I will be sticking with Gatorskins, fantastic tyre.
