Bargain of the day

I was idly looking at the cost of memory upgrades for my laptop earlier when I stumbled across a fantastic bargain at Crucial. You can buy a 1GB module for £76.99, or a pack of two 1GB modules for only £158.20. You can save almost as much with the 512MB modules where one will cost you £35.99 or just £73.97 for a pair.

I am now actively shopping for a laptop. Pain in the arse I tell you.

Too many retailers trying to piss you about, for example making you remove loads from the machine spec on their page pricing thing in order to get the price they quote in the paper (Dell) or having to spot the rubbish they pre-populate your purchase with in tick boxes at the bottom of the screen (you know, people who bought this also bought……….. boxes but prepopulated), so if you don’t notice, you’ve bought loads of extra stuff! (Dixons)

    Argh and all that.
