I passed 1000 miles for the year today, only two weeks later than originally planned.
The downside is that I only reached that because I had to return my new short-sleeved Endura Halcyon top to the LBS. I washed it last night the same way I’ve washed my long sleeve version and it shrank to the sort of size that would fit my 4 year old nephew. The merino socks that were in the same wash were fine which is perplexing. Hopefully a replacement will arrive in due course.
Whilst riding to the LBS I managed to snap a spoke on the rear wheel of the Langster, it was a drive-side one which means I have fun and games ahead this evening trying to get the sprocket off.
woo hoo and boo hoo!
boo hoo and woo hoo! :)
Well done.
You’ll be passing me soon as I’m in a no riding lethargy funk thing.
Shall I post you a 1/8th chain whip and a lockring spanner? Or just buy them from Hub Jub. The Lock Ring spanners are amazingly nice to use.
I managed it in the end with a bit of bodging and a normal chainwhip.
You probably have a 3/32″ sprocket anyway.
I used to use a pin spanner to get the lockring off but the connection wasn’t great.
Nope. 1/8″ sprocket. The chainwhip sort of fits with a bit of encouragement :)
ace, when do you get butchered?
Friday afternoon.
EEP!
