I’ve just bought one of these. It’s ace.
And very heavy! But it does fit across the back of a Citroen C5 Estate!
ACE! not a bad price, I’ll be getting something similarly big for the NFL 08 season, let me know how it fairs with non HD television, please.
Git!
Big massive flat screens are ace! Huge improvement in viewing quality.
Why Plasma over LCD?
The Plasma has a faster response time, is brighter, and has better contrast. Also it was £50 cheaper than the equivalent LCD would have been.
However it’s heavier, and uses more electricity.
It is very heavy and Rich no longer needs the central heating when the telly is on. Neither do his 7 immediate neighbours or the people across the road! Mind you they also get a better picture!
That’s pretty much what I thought, any idea about longevity, as Plasmas need re-gassing don’t they, but LCD’s get dimmer.
I\ll wait til next summer, I might have proper electricity by then
Re-gassing is an urban myth.
Lifespan of a plasma screen is apparently in the region of 30,000-60,000 hours of use.
