In a mad fit of post-work workshop productivity the cross bike has been re-braked and tweaked in anticipation of a post-work ride on Wednesday, it just needs some wider bars now. Whilst I was waving allen keys about I had another go and de-creaking the Ribble. I removed, cleaned, greased, and reattached all the chainrings which didn’t help, so I then removed, greased, and refitted the pedals. If that doesn’t work I’m pretty much out of ideas.

It’s your knees and your back. Have you tried Guinness?
Ace, I fitted a new drivetrain, BB and cranks, although I might have prebuggered up the BB Bearings.
I sorted the wonky shock bushing, fixed the front brake and let a little air out of the shock. Fettletastic mate.
I’ve fitted some new forks, tyres and mudguards to my cross bike so that I have a geared bike for when the roads are wet. It also appears to need a new BB. I thought square taper BBs were meant to last forever?
