New cleats and disco slippers
You don’t really notice how bad cleats have got until you replace them with some new ones. I replaced the left cleat on my Sidi Dominators last night, and my foot no longer unclips unexpectedly which is handy. The right cleat has now outlasted two left cleats and is on it’s third.
After work yesterday I popped into the LBS looking for a new pair of road shoes having finally decided that my Sidi Genius ones are two narrow. My intention was to try some Bontrager Race shoes for size, then get the shop to order some Race Lite ones, however on trying them out the instep is way too high and uncomfortable, and they don’t import the different insoles which would solve the problem. I ended up buying some silver and black Northwave Typhoon S.B.S shoes which seem very comfortable from a quick shop test. A fresh set of cleats have been fitted, and now I just need to bring the Lemond out of it’s winter hibernation. Buying new road shoes has probably guaranteed a month of rain, this will be on top of the two weeks rain coming up because I’m on holiday after today.

I should get new shoes today, too, I only expect them to last til october, though.
My cleats are very dangerous now and seem to be missing an alarming amount of metal!
