The Bad Shepherds – Cheese and Grain, Frome

My second visit to the Cheese and Grain this week, and there were far fewer people in attendance tonight. Because of this I was stood much nearer the front which meant it sounded a lot better than usual for the venue.

Support came from Al O’Kane, standing in for the absent Ella Edmondson. Fortunately however, her Dad had turned up. After a short break, three professionals and the self proclaimed “twat in the middle” took to the stage, pointed out the lack of sheep thereby proving how bad they were at being shepherds, then launched into 90 minutes of music interspersed with occasional jokes from Ade. A superb evening and I can’t wait to see them again at Cropredy next month.
