Shuttleworth Autumn Air Display 2009

The third trip to Old Warden this year, and the best weather we’ve seen so far. Whilst the cloud did make an appearance during the afternoon, it was an aesthetically pleasing cloud and added some atmosphere to some of the photos. As mentioned before it was the first outing with my new 100-400 L IS lens, and it couldn’t have gone better, the only downside being the aforementioned need for a larger bag. Unfortunately the gusty wind yet again meant that the Edwardians were kept in the hangar, I still don’t believe that they actually fly.

Next weekend will see a trip to Duxford provided the weather holds, and that will be it until next May.

Cracking stuff, Grommit! You are beginning to get the hang of it. The sunshine does make it a bit easier. And there will be jets at Duxford which go a bit faster to practice your panning.
