The Bad Shepherds – Gloucester Guildhall

A trek up the M5 tonight to see Ade Edmondson and his band The Bad Shepherds again. Support came from his daughter Ella Edmondson and her band, the bassist seemed somewhat lucky to still be standing given the amount of drugs he looked to have taken.

The line-up of The Bad Shepherds has changed since I last saw them in the summer, now officially comprising two musicians and “that twat off the telly” since the departure of Maartin Allcock, the band has been augmented by Brad Lang on double bass during the tour. This brings a slightly different and somewhat less guitar-orientated sound to their music.

There were a few new songs in the setlist tonight, but unfortunately they’d dropped the Ramones medley and a few of the lengthier jokes.
