A classic which was long overdue another viewing.
It’s taken me a while to get around to watching this, but it was definitely worth the wait. A fantastic film and a very enjoyable couple of hours.
An all time classic which I feel should be ranked a lot higher. It was also the first time I’ve watched it on Blu-Ray and it looks superb.
A solo effort this time, partly because I’d forgotten that it was on our list until I’d already started watching it. I suspect we’ll watch it again around christmas time in a double-bill with The Dark Knight, although I might have to order a copy on Blu-Ray before hand.
City of God is the first foreign-language film we’ve attempted so far, and unusually for me a subtitled film that can keep my attention all the way to the end.
‘e’s not the Messiah, ‘e’s a very naughty boy!
Somehow I’d got through life without having seen this film, something which I’m glad I rectified last night. All bar a couple of minutes of the film are set in one room, and it’s entirely character-driven. Something of a rarity these days.
Coming next: Life of Brian
An early start means we had time for this lengthy masterpiece tonight.
I believe Schindler’s List was about 14o
That’s “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” for the uncultured amongst you. A classic movie which I’ve not seen for years. However this special edition version seems to suffer from some slightly bizzare audio mixing where it’s been “upgraded” from mono to 5.1, it’s quite disconcerting at times.
