An attempt to work through the top 250 films listed on IMDB as of mid-August 2008.

#155 – The Incredibles

I’ve been waiting for this to be released on Blu-ray before re-watching it. Hopefully it’ll be worth the wait.

#186 – Kill Bill: Vol. 2

I think I’ve only seen this the once, which means this viewing is long overdue.

#127 – Kill Bill: Vol. 1

Why has it taken me so long to re-watch this?

#108 – Ladri di Biciclette

It’s a film about bicycles, how can it not be good?

Yet another film I’ve never seen until tonight.

#16 – Rear Window

A classic film which had eluded my viewing until tonight. Something I’m glad I rectified.

#236 – Network

A film I’ve intended to watch for years, and conveniently it fell through the door today from Lovefilm.

#146 – La Battaglia di Algeri

Having recently joined Lovefilm I can now start to catch up with all the old films I don’t already have on DVD, starting off with The Battle of Algiers.

102/250

Well so much for that, an hour into the film and the Lovefilm streaming service dies completely.

#31 – The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

The first “new” film for a few weeks, and it’s one I’ve not watched for quite a few years. It’s only the theatrical cut, but that does mean it’s relatively short at just 3 hours.

#69 – Rashômon

The first of two Kurosawa films on the list. The other, Shichinin no Samurai at 3.5 hours is a bit too long for a normal evening viewing.

It’s also the 100th film I’ve watched or rewatched since we started 2.5 years ago.
