Life in the Bus Lane

Apparently replacing the CPU and the memory hasn’t fixed my laptop and they have now ordered a replacement motherboard. I could have told them that originally if they’d asked, as it was almost certainly a dead graphics chipset causing the problem. However this means that I’ll probably be without the laptop for another week or so which isn’t particularly handy.

It’s now two weeks since my laptop broke, and it’s still not back. Apparently it needed a new CPU and assorted gubbins. Hopefully I’ll see it again one day.

Fujitsu seem to have sorted out my ADSL/voice line, but have broken my ISDN line, and their help desk have all gone home so I can’t call them back to fix it. Time to try to persuade BT to sort it out.
