Fuck Texas, Sing For Us

Monday, August 18th, 2008, 8:07 pm

I may not get to see all of New Model Army peform together as a band this year, but there will be a new live album titled “Fuck Texas, Sing For Us” out at the end of October, which will go some way to make up for it.

In addition we’re off to see Justin Sullivan and Dean White do an acoustic set in Stoke on Thursday which should be very good if the reports of their outing in Portsmouth are to be believed.

After deliberating over it for several years, I’ve finally replaced the aging PC behind the TV with an Apple Airport Express for listening to music through the amp. Despite using a slightly non-standard configuration, I’m not actually using the wireless part, it only took 10 minutes to set up and seems to be working perfectly.

Oddly enough, the cheapest place to get them at the moment is PC World.

Useless Numbers

In 2007 I bought 15 CDs, 75[1] DVDs, and more books than I care to count. No wonder I’m skint.

[1] The 61-disc X-Files set and 39-disc Buffy set only count as one each though.

This’ll probably only appeal to local people.
