The timing is quite apt as I’m currently sat watching the latter part of Season 6 of The West Wing which deals with Matt Santos and his presidential campaign leading up to the Democratic nomination at the end of the series.
Just under three months after it arrived, I’ve finally finished watching the X-Files box set of 9 series and a movie.
I thought I was watching an episode of the X-Files, but given that it’s got Elizabeth Bartlet (Annabeth Gish), Mallory O’Brien (Allison Smith), Dolores Landingham (Kathryn Joosten), and General Nicholas Alexander (Terry O’Quinn) from The West Wing in it, I’m getting a bit confused.

So far I’m very impressed with it.
Last night Al and I worked through three non-anamorphic widescreen episodes of The West Wing, and the picture was great considering the source. Tonight I’ve just finished watching Spider-Man 3, and am now settling down with Star Wars IV: A New Hope. I’ve played around with the settings and tweaked the picture a bit, and it’s looking superb.
The next job is to find room for the 32″ CRT TV up in the bedroom.
I’ve just bought one of these. It’s ace.

I’m sat watching an episode of NCIS, and as far as I can tell they keep referring to someone called “Lager and Wee”.
Last night saw the last ever episode of The West Wing, one of the few series I watched religiously throughout it’s 7-series life. It’s had it’s ups and downs, but on the whole was one of the best things on television in recent years, and it’s sad to see it come to an end.
This is also the first week without a skittles match since last September, so I’m at a bit of a loss with what to do this evening. I’ve repaired the rear wheel on the road bike, and the weather isn’t really good enough to ride, so I think I’ll start a West Wing retrospective and work my way through all 100+ hours and 156 episodes.
